Across our great land, our farmers work day and night through all weather conditions to produce the great fruit, vegetables and meats we see and eat everyday in our grocery stores and supermarkets.
To help us celebrate Buy a Bale day 2016 on March 23rd, we’ve a number of exciting initiatives
Dress like a Farmer for a Day
This is the most simple and fun way to support our farmers. Come to work or school dressed as a farmer and make a small donation to a collection point and watch everybody have some fun.
Make sure if your workplace or school gets involved that you take lots of photos and hashtag #DressedlikeaFarmer and we’ll share your photos on our instagram account and facebook.
“The Great Aussie Roast and Quiz”
We’re inviting all Australians to share in the great food our farmers produce and at the same time complete a quiz about Australian agriculture we’ve put together.
Register here as a Supporter of Buy a Bale and/or an organiser of a roast to help Buy a Bale raise funds. Once registered we’ll send you an email with a link you can share with your friends and family and each donation made through your link will help your account raise funds for Buy a Bale.
Then on the day you have your roast get together you could collect more donations or even sell a seat at your table as a way of raising more funds for Buy a Bale.
In addition we’ve created a great quiz about Australian agriculture called the Great Aussie Roast Quiz. It’s 32 great questions to test your knowledge about Australian Agriculture. Those supporting or holding a roast will receive a placemat of questions for their guests for their roast dinner function.
GREAT AUSSIE ROAST QUIZ PLACEMAT
To get things going we’ll be asking a question each day till March 23rd via facebook about Australian agriculture. To see today’s question or previous ones click here
So what’s your favourite type of roast?
Maybe you’re a fan of a Roast Chook with chips and gravy, or a Roast Pork with crackling or Roast beef with firm outer skins potatoes or a Roast lamb and mint jelly or even a Roast Turkey.
Any way you see it Australia, grab your friend and family around the dinner table strike up a conversation about what our farmers mean to you and at the same time, help Buy a Bale raise valuable funds to continue our work in rural communities.
