FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
$2 Snaggs, $1 Drinks, Brisbane goes to the Great Outback BBQ
Brisbane, Australia – King George Square in the centre of Brisbane will be the venue for next Great Outback BBQ.
Brisbane city workers particularly are being invited to get the best value snagg and drink deal in recent times from the Buy a Bale and Frontier Services team who will be running a BBQ in King George Square from 10am till 2pm tomorrow September 11th.
The funds raised will go directly into rural and remote support programs with a focus on drought affected areas.
According to Charles Alder, coordinator for the Buy a Bale Campaign, “the recent events in rural NSW are tragic but the stress our farming communities are facing due to the current drought are unfathonable. We’re hearing from farmers on the edge daily with pressure from banks to sell them of their land and low prices for cattle not generating enough to buy a meal.”
It is hoped Australians will register to hold a BBQ with mates or a fundraiser and throw a few dollars towards helping farmers cover just their weekly family grocery bills and provide funding for more rural mental health support programs.
